Yoga for M.S.
Free Chair Yoga for Multiple Sclerosis
Wednesdays 10:30-11:30am
Chair Yoga – Sitting and Standing:
Chair Yoga is helpful for anyone who wants to exercise but has difficulty with floor postures (weight on hands and knees or repetitive movement on and off the floor) because of knee pain, extra weight, arthritis, etc. Modifications to poses can always be made for optimal experience and benefit of each each individual. Chair Yoga begins with breath work and seated yoga postures in a chair. We then stand by the chair (or use the wall) to improve balance and strength in standing poses. Everyone has the options to stay in their chairs or lay on the floor for relaxation at the end. Bringing your own yoga mat, block and strap is optional but it will help you to perform to your greatest potential. This class is not limited to those who can stand. You are welcome to come in a wheelchair.

Chair Yoga for Multiple Sclerosis is funded by a grant from the MS Foundation.
The attached forms can be emailed, mailed, or hand-delivered back to me. The doctor confirmation is the only one that takes more than a moment to do because of needing to have the doctor sign it. It could be emailed to the office staff rather than having to wait for your next appointment.
